It does the job well enough but noise is a downsideThis ashtray gizmo does a fine job of filtering out the 'idle' smoke caused when you set your smoke in the ashtray. It adds up to a lot less smoke in my music room, which is always a good thing. I suppose the noise is related to the motor that pulls the air from the ashtray into the filter system, but a quiet room will not be so quiet with this baby running. Cleaner air good but noise is not so good. Mine has lasted a few years and has to deal with cigar, cigarette, clove cigarette, etc., smoke frequently. At this rate, it will outlast my lung capacity. I haven't regretted buying this smokeless ashtray or the extra filters.  Excellent.I have been selling these on eBay (gratefulbuys) for over 9 years with 100% positive feedback and constant praise for them. They work very well. We discovered that the entire ashtray can actually be washed with soap and hot water without any damage to the electrical parts or motor. Just remove the filters and batteries and let it dry before using! Best One I've Found Yet!This smokeless ashtray works extremely well at containing second-hand smoke. Cleaning it can be a challenge; however, it works just as advertised! Recommend cleaning and changing the filters often to maintain the unit especially if you're a heavy smoker. I'm definitely sold on this item! |
