Not as good as others I got really tired of hearing how "plain" the heroine was. It was over stated to say the least.
Another great book by Ms. Adair!!!! I thought that this book was great!
Michael is very much an alpha male and Tally is very lovable. I think the combination of action/suspense, humor, and romance make a terrific book! My only two comments are that one, I always wish her books were longer; and two, it drives me NUTS that her covers do not match her characters. Also, she has a website, and the pictures that she has on her website do not match the cover either. I know it is petty but it bothers me! :)
another T-Flac book This book was just not as good as Kiss and Tell or Hide and Seek. But it did remind me of The Mercernary. It started out very slow. Michael is another Wright brother. And it takes forever to find out why he loses his Navy Seal career. He is so bitter the whole time and you have no idea why. He has lost an eye. You have no idea why. Tally Cruise is the daughter of his enemy that he wants to kill. He ends up saving Tally's life. Which in turn gives him the opportunity to get close to her. Her father is due on Paradise Island in a few days. Just enough time to give Michael to find what he is looking for.
The book has some very hot love scenes. But progress so slow that I rated it a 3. Also not enough explaintion about Michael's accident soon enough.
It would have made the book easier to read. The Plot was a little dry.
I liked this book. The hero & heroine are not supermodel beautiful. Both have strong fears that they help each other overcome. THE T-FLAC SERIES:
The Mercenary (New 2008 version released with about 100 pages added to the story)
Kiss And Tell
Hide And Seek
In Too Deep
Out Of Sight
On Thin Ice
Hot Ice
Edge Of Danger
Edge Of Fear
Edge Of Darkness
White Heat
Despite the cover of this book, the hero is maimed and wears an eye patch. The heroine is too skinny, with no figure, and has a plain face. Both have deeply embedded personal fears to fight. When they fall in love and their lives are at risk, they find courage in their hopes for one another's survival. Their story is very romantic and triumphant.
"'Come with me, Tally,' Micheal said urgently. 'Come with me and be my first mate... Let's sail across the world together.'"
"'I love you,' she said simply, honestly. 'I love that you're a man of honor in a world with too little of it. I love that you love me exactly as I am...'"
Micheal Wright, one of the four Wright brothers whom are connected with the T-FLAC anti- terrorism unit, has made his life as a Navy SEAL. After being permanently disabled (lost an eye) by his enemy, the Navy had to honorably discharge him. With nothing to lose, he has traveled to the private island of his enemy, Trevor Church. He is more than willing to die while getting revenge for his injury and more importantly for the death of the man who was his best friend and partner. When he finds and rescues Church's daughter at sea, he considers her a perfect bonus to his revenge. Before he kills Church, Micheal will use Church's daughter.
Tally was abandoned by her father as a child. When she received an invitation to come to his island for a reunion, she hoped her dreams of having a loving father were about to come true. While out on a boat with her father's servant, an explosion sent her flying into the sea. Luck was on her side. A man in another boat saved her life. He may look like a pirate, but he certainly was not unpleasant to gaze upon. Knowing herself for the plain and insecure woman she is, she didn't begin to hope he would find any interest in her. By the time they reached Church's island, Micheal's ship was in bad shape. He is forced to stay until the repairs can be made. Micheal has found the ideal excuse for staying on the island until Church arrives in a few days time. Meanwhile, he'll indulge himself in Tally's passionate attraction to him.
Tally is quirky and plain, but Micheal finds himself drawn to her honesty and innocence of the evil that exists in the world. He should be annoyed at the way she sings off- key whenever she is nervous. He should be turned- off by her small breasts and lack of curves. It should be easy to use and discard her. But as the days pass, Micheal finds that he can't hurt her. If he survives killing Church, and if Tally can forgive him, he hopes to keep her forever. First, he must save her from the constant "accidents" that threaten to end her life. Before long, Micheal realizes that someone is trying to harm her. Could her terrorist father be seeking Tally's death? Micheal is ready to be the brick wall standing between Tally and whomever is attempting to murder her.
Tally has a life- long fear of the dark. Micheal is ashamed of his recently aquired fear of the ocean. After watching his best friend die at sea, Micheal is afraid to enter the water himself. When Tally and Micheal are trapped in a dark cave, their only way out is through deep water. If not to save themselves, they must find the courage to overcome their deep- seated fears in hopes of saving each other.

On Thin Ice was sooooo much better After enjoying On Thin Ice so much, I really hate to do this but In Too Deep wasn't nearly as entertaining. I didn't see the chemistry between Michael and Tally. The entire book centered around their sexual encounters. Neither of them had much depth, the plot was slippery and the writing choppy. Tally was just a little too brave for me when faced with life-threatening situations on nearly every page and I kept getting the feeling that she was just a young, little girl with the way she talked and thought. It just wasn't as deep as it should have been and there were a lot of goofy phrases. However, I haven't given up yet. I still have more of her books to read.
